About Jura-Capresso®
Michael Kramm, president of Krups USA, helped popularize high-end coffee makers and the home espresso market for more than 20 years. In 1994 he started Capresso to develop machines designed for the discriminating tastes of American coffee connoisseurs.
Mr. Kramm believes the sophisticated coffee aficionados in the United States are not fully satisfied with the preparation of their favorite coffee drinks. "Today Europe shows clearly that there is a next step in how people consume coffee, a step still to be taken by many people here," he explains. "When Europeans go to a specialty store, they are drinking coffee prepared on the principle of pressure-brewed coffee. Our Super-Automatics deliver pressure brewed coffee consistently better and fresher than most American coffee bars."
Deciding to break out of the mindset of creating coffee maker products for the wide middle market, Kramm established Capresso to concentrate on, as he says, "the best solution for the true coffee lover, not necessarily the most affordable." In 2003 Capresso partnered with Jura AG, established in 1931 in Switzerland and the worldwide leader in the premium market of fully automatic coffee and espresso centers. Jura-Capresso brings the most technologically advanced coffee equipment to the United States.
Through new patented designs, Jura-Capresso offers easy-to-use features such as one-touch beverage buttons, multi-language LED displays, and interchangeable frother systems. "Frankly, our machines are not for everyone," Kramm explains. "But for those who wont settle for second best, we produce high-quality European products that deliver superior performance with utmost convenience and reliability."
Superior performance. Utmost convenience and reliability. Who could ask for anything more?
