About Magimix by Robot-Coupe
In the early 1960's, Robot-Coupe was born in Burgundy, a region of
France famous for gastronomy. Robot-Coupe's original idea was to create
a single machine that could perform a variety of tasks for professional
chefs (such as chopping, grinding, kneading, shredding), tasks that
previously required hand work or separate appliances.
For more
than 40 years, Robot-Coupe has been the undisputed world leader in
commercial Food Processors and has continuously developed and refined
its product line both in terms of functions and sizes. Today,
Robot-Coupe products are found in leading restaurants and hotels all
around the world.
Based on the technical breakthroughs and
professional standards achieved by Robot-Coupe, Magimix was founded to
develop domestic versions of Robot-Coupe Food Processors. As Magimix was
demonstrating its newly invented food processor in France in 1971, Carl
Sontheimer offered to partner to distribute our highly innovative
machine. Magimix adapted the wiring to US standard and manufactured in
1973 the very first and highly successful food processors that were once
acclaimed by the New York Times as: the culinary revolution of the 20th
century.
Today, Magimix by Robot-Coupe Food Processors, still
entirely manufactured in France, are found in upscale private homes all
over Europe, where gourmet cooks enjoy their refined design statement
and the pleasure of cooking like a chef.
As serious cooking
should be fun and satisfying and not hard work Magimix designs its
products such that the most demanding tasks can be accomplished quickly,
easily and quietly, perhaps that is why top TV Chefs, Cookery Schools
and Food Writers insist on Magimix.
