Julia Child and James Beard were among the first renowned chefs to applaud the revolutionary Cuisinart food processor introduced to America in 1973. Today, Cuisinart offers an impressive line of kitchen electrics, cookware, bakeware, tools, and accessories, all showcasing Cuisinart's signature quality, performance, and design.

Cuisinart Story

Before the Cuisinart came the Robot Coupe, a machine invented in the 1960s by French catering company salesman, Pierre Verdon. He sought to find a way to reduce the number of man hours spent dicing onions, blending dressing, and grinding spices by hand. Unlike traditional blenders that required liquids to incorporate ingredients, the Robot Coupe had a shallow, wide bowl that didn't need extra liquid.
