Use and Care Instructions

• Before using for the first time, wash in hot, soapy water with a sponge or dishcloth. Rinse in hot water and dry thoroughly.
• Placing pots on low heat for one or two minutes before adding foods.
• Preheat pot or pan for one to two minutes over low or medium heat.
• To avoid the formation of small white dots or pits, bring liquids to a boil before adding salt, then stir well. Or, add salt after food has started to cook. Pitting does not interfere with cooking performance but can diminish the beauty of the stainless steel.
• To prevent water spotting, after washing, rinse in hot water and dry immediately.
• Overheating can cause brown or blue stains to appear. Food films, if not removed, will cause discoloration on the pot when it is reheated. Large amounts of iron content in your water may cause your pot to look rusty.
• The mirrored stainless-steel exterior requires minimum care. Polish pan with a commercial stainless-steel cleaner. Rub cleaner in a circular motion over pan and rinse in lukewarm water. Use only nylon scrubbing pads and avoid harsh detergents.

Stunning Stainless Steel Steamer It's beautiful inside & out and is extremely well made in the USA. The insert fits different size sauce pans and other brands, mine pans are Lagostina and they work fine with the steamer. I layer my veggies with those needing longer cooking time on the bottom. The vegetables cook from the bottom up since there are no side steam holes. I really like the steamer lid and handles and no longer get burned when removing the steamer insert from the sauce pan. I like it and know I'll use it often. May 3, 2011

The best steamer ever! This is a great steamer. If fits on a variety of All-Clad pans. It is very stable resting on top of other pots and cleans up easily! You will never want to use another steamer again! October 7, 2007

I LOVE THIS STEAMER INSERT! I love steamed vegetables. I was using another steamer insert but it only fit one saucepan and it was difficult to clean. When I saw this steamer, I thought it looked very good. I am so happy I bought it. It fits the All-Clad saucepans from 1.5 qt to 5 qt., it is incredibly easy to clean, and it's large enough to hold a lot of food. The fact that it fits different size saucepans means that I can use whatever pan is available on whatever burner is available. I use this steamer insert several times a week and I love it. This product fits the 1.5 to 5 qt. pans The steamer insert fits All-Clad and other pans and is a great addition for an All-Clad pan collection because it is so versatil for steaming vegetables with out a separate pan for that purpose. You just insert it into an existing sauce pan. April 25, 2012

Love this steamer! This steamer fits perfectly on my existing All-Clad pans, and gives perfect results. Given the weight of the All-Clad products, you need a lower heat to steam than you might expect, so check it. But perfect results. Did I already say that? February 25, 2012
