Stunning Stainless Steel Steamer
It's beautiful inside & out and is extremely well made in the USA. The insert fits different size sauce pans and other brands, mine pans are Lagostina and they work fine with the steamer.
I layer my veggies with those needing longer cooking time on the bottom. The vegetables cook from the bottom up since there are no side steam holes. I really like the steamer lid and handles and no longer get burned when removing the steamer insert from the sauce pan.
I like it and know I'll use it often.

The best steamer ever!
This is a great steamer. If fits on a variety of All-Clad pans. It is very stable resting on top of other pots and cleans up easily! You will never want to use another steamer again!

Easy to clean, cooks evenly
This is an addition to my AllClad collection. I love my stainless pots and pans. This is a steamer with lid to fit on my 3 quart casserole and/or my 3 quart saucepan. Love it!!

AllClad Steamer--Most versatile EVER
The best part of this steamer is that it will fit in a 1 quart pan, or a 1.5, 2 or three. It is so much more versatile compared to the Calphalon steamer set we have (won't have much longer).
The other wonderful thing is that it can go right in the dishwasher with no worries. All stainless AllClad pans are just wonderful. Other types of coatings do not fare well in the dishwasher--not the washer but the detergent puts some serious hut on them. In some instances the coating will come completely off and you are left with just bare aluminum.
I won't buy anything but AllClad stainless from now on.

Versatile steamer
Clever idea, to make a steamer that can fit any saucepan in their line. We have two, the 2-qt and the 4-qt, and it fits both. This allows you flexibility in choosing your pans for the work at hand. Our other steamer, the Cuisinart green line, is unfortunately restricted -- it only fits the one pan that happens to be the right size for other stuff like rice and potatoes. The All-Clad's con is that the multiple flutings needed to make it fit several pans also let the contents hide in the internal grooves, so it is sometimes a little tedious to unload. Small issue, most metal steamers (including the Cuisinart) have a similar problem.

Doubting Thomas
When my nephew was getting married, he requested All clad cookware, said he would not use any other brand. So I purchased sautepan and much to my chagrin, my nephew was right, I am now replacing all other cookware with All Clad. The steamer insert is great , it keeps its shine, easy to maintain and, best of all, made in Canonsburg Pa!!!

Versatile!
I love the versatility of of this little steamer! It fits in several sizes of pan, so if you need a certain size pan for something else, you don't have to wait - just use another pan! Works wonderfully and is the quality you expect from All-Clad!
