Great purchase
I've purchased three Cuisinart hard anodized pans, all have performed well. This 5.5 saute pan with lid is great for one dish meals, from sauteing the onions, etc, to adding the other ingredients and simmering on top of the stove if necessary. It is also great for fritattas and other dishes that start on top of the stove and go into the oven to finish. A good buy for the money.

GEAT VALUE
These pans are great. Good heat distribution and not your cheap thin pans you get from the cheap supermarkets and discount stores.

Why did I wait so long???
I've seen similar saute pans used on cooking shows and I got envious. I've long been a fan of Cuisinart, so I thought I would try out this piece of cookware. I'm very pleased with the quality, especially for this price. It's an item I'll use in my kitchen frequently, and I highly recommend it.

Economical cookware
This whole Cuisinart line is nice and economical for a beginner or someone who does not cook much. Take care to not use metal utensils of any sort in these pans as one scratch is all it takes for the coating to begin flaking. Once you have the basics down get an anodized set and season it for a non stick coating which willstand up to anything.

Good value
This mult-purpose pan is a perfect size for sauteeing, then going on to complete a one-dish meal, such as beef stroganoff, chicken Cacciatore, or chicken paprikash. I also like the idea that it can go into the oven if necessary. Many pans manufactured today have plastic or similar handles, etc, that will not withstand oven heat.
