Too great to return!
I ordered two sizes of this Saucier in my favorite color with the intention of returning one, but they are just too fantastic, so I'm keeping both.

Only found it at Chef's Catalog!!
I looked all over for this pan to add to my collection. I've cooked wtih LeCreuset for over 40 years and I love it. Was so glad that when I couldn't find it at any other store, Chef's Catalog had it and at a more reasonable price than the stores which were sold out of it had offered it for! And it got here fast.

How have I managed without it?!
This pan gets washed and put back on the stove. It doesn't ever see the inside of the cabinet. It is a permanent fixture in the kitchen. I either wilt spinach, boil water for hard boiled eggs for sandwiches, or make a wonderful batch of oatmeal for the family, or gently cook chicken in cream sauce or you can throw together some wonderfully fresh soups in small batches for the freezer..I make a brie soup that requires absolute distribution of gentle heat...this pan can do this.....it just seems to do it all. The heat distributes beautifully and the iron core allows me to cook at a lower heat with more control over the outcome.... and more vitamins! It just doesn't get any better than this...and I have had expensive copper pans with silver lining. This pan cleans up instantly and is ready for whatever I need to cook next. I even cook steak in olive oil over low heat in it and it comes out wonderfully tender and juicy. Give it as a wedding gift EVERYONE needs this pan! I have been cooking for large and small groups of people for over 43 years and I should have had this little sweetheart 40 years ago....life would have been a lot easier! S.

Great Pan
I have one of these saucier in "dijoin" but couldn't resist the new cassis color. I absolutely LOVE it! I already loved the pan itself--but cooking with this delicious color makes cooking even more fun!!

Worth every penny!
This saucier is the perfect size for a meal for two and is so versatile, can be used for "one pot" meals, on the stovetop or in the oven, and for sauces, etc. It's so good looking and a great compliment to other Le Creuset cookware. It's a great housewarming gift, too, it's so "multi-talented" you don't need as many other pots (though you will want all of the Le Creuset set once you try this one!).

Great size - very usable
I love LeCreuset and this is a handy size. However, I'm disappointed that there seems to be no consistency in design. This has a totally different style lid than the others that I own. (And all the others were purchased in the last 2 months). I know this is perhaps a minor point BUT when we're paying so much for cookware, we'd like it to at least MATCH with all the other pieces in the line.
