Excellent multi-use pan
We purchased this on the recommendation of a friend and have found that the sloped sides and heavy weight make the saucier useful not only for hassle-free making of sauces, but for any kind of soup or stew or mixed-ingredient recipe that one wishes to stir.

A great new addition to my Le Creuset collection
I rarely cook in anything else these days. I ordered two sizes of this Saucier Pan with the intention of only keeping one, but they are just too wonderful!!

Love this pan!!
Have ALWAYS loved Le Creuset, and thought I had all I needed, however, when I read the reviews on the Saucier Pan, I bought it, and could not wait to use it! And, I am not sorry I did.I used some of the recipes that came with the pan, and after that, any recipe that I could make in a 12" or 10" frying pan, I used the saucier pan. I can easily see this pan eliminating most of the pots and pans in my kitchen!

Best Purchase Ever
Finally, someone has had the sense to incorporate a vent port in the lid of the saucier so that the accumulated steam can escape without boil over. Paarticularly FANTASTIC when you are dealing with delicate shell fish sauces and tomato based sauces for pasta.
Best of all, it is multi functional. It serves not only as a saucier but an extremely versatile vessel for a variety of dishes requiring a deep pan with an extremely tight fitting lid. I would not be without it......I purchased two (2) more for my adult children; also chefs.

Delighted with my purchase!
I've used this pan for a few very different recipes so far. I'm very happy with it because it cooks evenly and is easy to clean. The first was a favorite chunky tomato sauce with sauteed onions and garlic that requires simmering for reduction of the tomato juices. The result was perfect! Another is an oven barbequed pork chop recipe that requires stove top searing and extended covered oven baking with barbeque sauce. This one usually makes a mess of my pan, but the saucier surface is so easy to clean, it was a breeze. I also use it for my very cheesy baked mac and cheese.

Awesome Saucier Pan
The pan is heavy and distributes heat so there are no hot spots. The design of the pan makes it easy to get a balloon wisk into all areas as there are no corners for food to burn. It is another top quality product from Le Creuset. Their pans may cost more but you will have them forever. I have never used better cookware. You get what you pay for.

Love it!
I love everything about Le Creuset - this saucier pan is the ideal size in so many areas. Have used it several times within the first few days after it came in and have no complaints whatsoever.
