Perfect Mashed Potatoes Made Easy!

Pros: Appearance/ Design /Style, capacity, construction, durability, Easy to Clean/Wash, easy to use, Material, Performs Well, quality, Value for Money
Cons: size, storage space needed
"I have used many methods for mashing potatoes over all my years of cooking. There wasn't a perfect one EVER! From an antique ricer, an old fashened hand masher, a food mill, and electric stand mixer, I can't remember having totally smooth mashed potatoes even once. I just let my family believe lumps prove they weren't instant potatoes. This ricer is amazing. It holds about 5-lb without being hard to squeeze the potatoes through the holes. The size and shape of the unit with so many holes, eliminates lumps and potatoes do not squeeze out the sides. The strands are thin and smooth making the most creamy mashed potatoes I ever had. The whole unit is very sturdy and cleans very easily. It really, truly is worth finding space in your kitchen to store it (it is large). I have actually given units as shower gifts."

"This is the perfect potato ricer. I had a different kind before, and always ended up with lots of unriced potato popping out the sides---- this one gets it all easily. Now I make perfect unlumpy mashed potatoes quickly. And its easy to clean- AND nice and sturdy. This is the one to have."

"A potato ricer is indispensable! This one is perfect! The potatoes are light and fluffy. It is the only way to infuse air into the potatoes. The potatoes are almost a different vegetable after being riced. After ricing I pour melted butter over the top of the riced potatoes in the the serving bowl. Then gently, to maximize the internal air spaces, serve."
