Best Knife out there I am not a chef but a home cook.I had a friend of mine over that is a chef,when he picked up my Shun Paring knife he fell in love.He had not used shun before and was delighted in the way it handled and how sharp and easy to use it was I had to watch him(lol) to make sure the knife did not disapear when he went home.I just joking about that,but I am not joking about this knife.It is a must have in anyones kitchen, home cook or pro.cook. Best Parer On The Planet! If you want just one paring knife, your search starts and stops with the Shun 3.5-inch parer. My biggest complaint is my own delay in buying this perfect paring knife. I waited, kept fighting my dull German parers, waited some more, researched Shun, and then finally decided on the purchase. Now I'm getting rid of my German parers!
