Cleaning and MaintenanceBlender Always unplug your Cuisinart® blender from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
The blender is made of corrosion-resistant parts, which are easy to clean. Before first use and after every use, clean each part thoroughly.
If any part is damaged or blender jar is chipped or cracked, do not use blender.
Remove the blender jar from the motor base by lifting straight up and away. Twist off the locking ring by turning counterclockwise.
Remove the cutting assembly and rubber gasket. Wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
Place the locking ring in the upper rack of the dishwasher or wash in warm water.
The cutting assembly is sharp. Do not attempt to remove the blades from the cutting assembly.
Remove the blender jar cover and the measured pour lid. Wash in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Or place in upper rack of dishwasher. Wash the blender jar upside in dishwasher or wash by hand in warm, soapy water and rise and dry thoroughly.
Wipe the motor base clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not place the motor base in the dishwasher or submerge it in water or any other liquid.
Food Processor Attachment Store the sharp chopping blade and slicing/shredding disc safely out of reach of children.
The work bowl, cover, pusher, blade and disc are top shelf dishwasher-safe. Insert the work bowl upside down in the dishwasher.
The gearbox collar is not immersible. Clean with a damp cloth.
If you wash the blade and disc by hand, avoid leaving them in soapy water where they may disappear from sight and later cause an injury. To clean the metal blade, fill the work bowl with soapy water and hold the blade by its plastic center as you rapidly move it up and down on the bowl's center shaft. A spray hose and brush are also effective.
Never place the work bowl or other food processor parts in a microwave oven.
