Cleaning and Maintenance
• Before using for the first time, wipe the base, cover, controls and cooking plates with a damp cloth.
• Before first use, its best to season grids with a cooking spray or oil.
• Never use metal utensils, as they will scratch the nonstick plates. Instead, use only wooden or heat-proof plastic utensils. Never leave plastic utensils in contact with the hot grill plates.
• Allow the Griddler to cool down completely (at least 30 minutes) before cleaning. Leave top lid open so plates cool faster.
• Do not take your sandwich maker apart for cleaning. Simply brush crumbs from grooves, and absorb any excess grease or cooking oil with a dry cloth or paper towel.
• The cooking plates are dishwasher-safe or you can wipe them with a damp cloth.
• The exterior can be wiped clean with a soft, dry cloth. For tough stains, dampen cloth. Never use an abrasive cleaner or harsh cleaning pad on any part of the Griddler.
