Use and Care
• Before using for the first time, wash in hot, soapy water with a sponge or dishcloth. Rinse in hot water and dry thoroughly. The stainless-steel cookware is dishwasher-safe, but hand-washing can help preserve the cookware's luster.
• Low to medium heat offers best cooking performance.
• Use high heat only for boiling or reducing liquids.
• Use medium to medium-high heat for sautéing, stir frying and frying.
• Use low heat for warming food, simmering and preparing delicate sauces.
• Emerilware cookware is oven-safe.
• Emerilware cookware should not be heated empty or allowed to boil dry because the aluminum on the bottom may melt if the cookware is left on a hot burner.
• You may wash Emerilware cookware in the dishwasher. If hand-washing, allow cookware to cool, then immerse cookware in warm water.
• Use a fine powder cleanser with water to form a paste. Apply paste in a circular motion using a soft cloth. Wash in hot soapy water and dry immediately. Do not use oven cleaners or cleansers with chlorine bleach. Do not use steel wool. Nylon scrubbing pads are safe to use.
• Because copper is a semi-precious metal, the copper band will tarnish with use. Any over-the-counter copper cleaner will restore the copper band to its natural luster.
