After doing a little research, looking for the best oven for the price, I discovered the Krup toaster oven has 3 heating elements on the top and 3 on the bottom of the oven. Most toaster ovens in the same price range has a maximum of 2 heating elements at the top and 2 on the bottom. For sure, more elements gives more heat for faster toasting, baking or broiling. I find that the easy touch button (that's what I call it) if tapped a couple of times adds a couple of minutes to the toast default time, avoiding making it necessary to place the rack right under the heat elements to brown toast. For toast I tap until "6" shows up in the window; for english muffins until "7" shows up in the window -- depending on your toast browning preference. For baking or broiling, just tap the button for the number of minutes you need for baking or broiling time. I also find that it self cleans so I never have to wipe down the sides of the oven and I wrap the "catch tray" at the bottom with aluminum foil for easy clean up. Learn More
