Great addition to my kitchen
First attempt at making aebleskivers turned out well. Love the pan. I need to tweak my technique a bit but everyone enjoyed them. The pan heats so well, though, that I will probably have to turn down the heat after the frist couple of batches.

This pan is of very good quality.
I have been looking for a quality Aebleskiver Pan for some time but the ones I found were not of the quality I wanted. Chef's Catalogue had the very pan I wanted and at a very reasonable price. Previously I found this pan which produces the Dutch pastry but they were not of the quality I was searching for. When this pan arrived I was delighted with the quality. I am looking forward to trying several different types of fillings. Once again Chef's Catalogue to the rescue.

great purchase
My husband requested this for his birthday, having scoured the catalog. We followed the recipe exactly. The aebelscivers were so good i ordered another pan so that we can serve them for the family (16 staying with us) at Christmas.

I always like to get the most use out of my pans and I make traditional Danish aebleskiver, but also like to use my pan for any type of batter dough mix. For instance cornbread stuffed with green chiles and cheese, any batter and combination of cheeses, sauces and herbs will work. I have also made brownie mix and put cream cheese and cherries in the middle, the possibilities are endless. I have bought several as gifts for friends and they have recommended them to their friends also.

Now ordering more for gifts.
I have had this pan for a few days now, and I have made a dozen recipes of Aebleskivers. The included recipe is so simple and be modified for a savory Aebleskivers or sweeter for more of a dessert or breakfast Aebleskiver. Anything that you can think of your would stuff a crêpe with can go in Aebleskiver itself. They are great with any course of the meal or time of day. As breakfast, as hors d'Åuvre, as an entrée, or dessert they are wonderful! Think creatively marinated chicken chunks, Raspberry -Cheese Aebleskivers (raspberry preserves, chopped pecans, sliced green onions, and Muenster or baby Swiss), fresh fruit, or chocolate chips and marshmallows (s'mores), or just a dollop of crème fraîche are all great. Best items used to turn the Aebleskivers over and not scratch the pan is a set of chop sticks.

A new special treat.
We love this pan and the food that it makes. Found tons of recipes to try. The design of the pan makes the heat distribute evenly. Very easy to clean up.

Disappointed
This pan is not as good as my cast iron one. It also has shallow cups. I plan to return it. I will look for another cast iron rather than aluminum. I normally love Chef's products. But not this one.

It's okay
I was disappointed in this pan. It is my fault. I am use to the old cast iron one that was my husband's grandmother's. We lost it in a flood 12 years ago and because of our glass top stove, the cast iron doesn't do well. Whereas, this pan is great for glass top stoves. What is disappointing is the wells are not deep on this as they are in the cast iron ones. The non stick is nice; unforunately, the aebleskivers are too small. They should be big and puffy with a pocket in them to put honey or whatever. On the whole, if you are new to Aebleskievers, this pan will be just right for you.
