Always replace with the best!
Boar bristles are the best. They don't shed and are easy to clean. I use them primarily for baking and they are the best and very reasonably priced. They can be used for so much more, like basting and cleaning pastry boards so they are a necessity in my kitchen.

Sizes are great
These are the best brushes. I have not noticed them losing bristles like most do. They are sturdy and good quality bristles. There is a size for every baking need. Purchased all three. Love them!

Terrific quality brushes
These brushes are great. The bristles of each brush are securely anchored, and they wash easily. The individual sizes fit all applications. These brushes work terrifically.

Flat Pastry/Basting Brush (medium size)
This brush is the perfect size to apply butter to my homemade rolls, I use less butter by using the brush, the bristles are of great quality and the handle makes it easy to hold.

Basting Brushes
I had an old, tired, cheap basting brush that had seen better days. I threw it away. I ordered all three sizes of Chef's basting brushes in order to be open to any kind of basting. I used the first one to spread olive oil onto bread that I toasted, then spread with Bruschetta sauce and Mozzarella. I especially liked the white boar bristles because they seemed to absorb the oil. Plus, once washed and air dried they can be returned to their little plastic jackets so that they don't get deformed. I highly recommend these brushes.

Just what I was looking for
Very handy sizes in the set and I love the composit ferrule that the bristles are set into. Perfect set for any kitchen
