Pays for itself within weeks!
This is an excellent product which does exactly what it promises.I use non fat milk from grass fed cows - and the savings are enormous...given that a premium organic yoghurt can cost up to $2.00 for a 6 oz carton, and that you can buy a half gallon of organic grass fed milk for just under $4.00...the unit soon pays for itself, plus you know exactly what you are eating.
Buy the top rack and extra jars if you eat a lot!

Yogurt maker is great!
This is an easy way to make yogurt for your individual needs and desires. I like it because I can use fresh fruit with no sugar added. I used whole raw milk and followed the yogurt maker directions. It was great!

Yogurt made easy
While this maker is not necessary it makes it a whole lot easier. I have found that using pastuerized milk at room temp. works better for me. The directions are pretty easy to follow and the timer feature is nice to have. I have been enjoting fresh yoguert for a week now and absolutely love it. I mix in a little orange clover honey and man does it taste great. In the future I am going to buy live cultures to bring it to a all natural state.

Yogurt-Lovers Rejoice!
I gave this appliance - along with the extra glass jars - to my sister for Christmas. She is NOT "gadget savvy", so I had to be sure this was easy to operate and easy to clean up. She absolutely LOVES this yogurt maker. Since she unwrapped it, she has made about 5 batches of yogurt, all perfectly done. You will not be sorry if you get this appliance!

First Batch Turned Out Great!
I am sooooooooo glad I bought this. I decided to do a flavored yogurt (coffee) on my first batch and it turned out wonderful! Easy-to-follow instructions and great that it has a self-timer so you don't have to worry about when to check on it. I love knowing that the yogurt I make is delicious, easy to make, and healthier, too!

Sweet little machine
I've only made one batch, so I'm still a yogurt-maker in progress. Followed the directions, used a powdered starter, didn't have any problems with the yogurt maker. I'm looking forward to experimenting with other ingredients. yum!

Yogurt can definitely be made without a gadget like this, but I am sold!! I have tried other methods that are all over the internet...unfortunately, my crockpot gets too hot, the heating pad has an auto shut-off, and the water bath/cooler method doesn't stay warm enough. The oven method works beautifully but it's hard to justify heating a huge oven for 8 hrs straight. My best results have come from placing the Dutch oven wrapped in towels behind the wood stove where it is nice and warm...and that requires frequent monitoring and winter days. So the yogurt maker has turned into a great, everyday solution. The jars are small and come with lids, so they're perfect for packing in lunches or grabbing as a snack. Cost? I can make a fresher, better-tasting, more delicious product for 23% of the cost of our favorite store brand. The unit will pay for itself in 12 weeks!
