Just what I was looking for I bought this bowl as a gift and it was just what I was looking for. I had seen other Monkey Bread Molds in stores but they were flimsy and cheap looking. When this bowl arrived I was glad to see it was of such nice quality. The coloring is very rich and it had the look of something that can be passed down through generations. I also liked that the box included several recipes for Monkey bread. The only wish that I had was that it would have been nice if it were a little wider. Other than that, I was very pleased with this product. December 16, 2010

Great Gift I purchased as a gift for my dad... who is hard to shop for... but when I saw it I knew he would love it as monkey bread is his fav... Monkey Bread Mold Makes Yummy Bread I just got my monkey bread mold last week. Very pretty and makes a beautiful, delicious batch of Monkey Bread. The bread slid out onto the platter with no sticking and was so delicious that when I took it to potluck at church it was totally gone in 15 minutes! There were people lined up single file waiting to get some monkey bread until it ran out. I only have one major reservation about the mold which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It is fairly heavy and trying to hang on to a HOT slick cereamic mold while turning it upside down to dump the bread onto a platter is trying. It should have been designed with a couple of small handles (one on each side) to hold on to. However, I still love the way it looks and the delicious bread it turns out. It comes with 5 recipes, 3 of which are made with refrigerated biscuits and 2 of which are made from yeast bread you bake from scratch. I made the from scratch one called Gourmet Chef's Monkey Bread which tastes very similar to cinnamon rolls since it uses butter, brown sugar and cinnamon as a coating for the dough balls. I also drizzled a cream cheese frosting over the bread after it came out of the mold. Since it is ceramic you cannot put it in a preheated oven as it could break. The instructions say to start in a cold oven and bake 30-45 minutes and I think it would be difficult for someone to judge when it's done unless they use a thermometer (which I did--190 to 195 F).
