Best Purchase
I really love the grill. It works like promised. It is just very heavy and hard to move around.

The best for the money
I tried the Breville that Oprah gave away, and I prefer this one by far. Even though other reviews complained about difficulty removing the plates, I have not had any problems. The size is great too. I am able to cook three or four sandwiches at once, depending on the bread size. Also stores upright!

I like the grill. It's very versatile. I found the directions are quite confusing,
The nicest feature is that you can fold it up when not in use.

A countertop beauty
A good-looking quality product, living up to my Calphalon expectations. Conveniently sized to accommodate guests and family. Easy clean, removable, nonstick plates will flatten to fry bacon or elevate for hefty meats and those sizeable Cuban Mix sandwiches. A positive addition to my countertop.

Much better than a grill pan
I received this as a wedding gift and have used it for the past year. It can sometimes get a little too hot, but it is much better than any foreman-style grill I have ever used.
I have grilled paninis, burgers, meats, etc.
I love that it locks closed and stores vertically, but wish the grease cup didn't fall out so easily when it is in its vertical position.

Not worth the price
I only used this grill three times before I returned it. It took longer than I expected to cook the food, the timer never did work, and on the third use, the latch that holds in the top grill pan was malfunctioning. I had to manually push it over the grill pan to get it to hold. I was worried about it falling out while it was hot, so I didn't keep it. It is also very large and takes up a lot of space even when stored upright. I bought a grill and press that are used on the stove top instead.

Bigger than I expected
I bought this to grill inside during the very cold northeastern winters and so far I have no complaints about it. It's big enough to grill 6 large hamburgers,no smoke, chicken breasts also, and everything stays moist.I have had no problems with delayed heating or smoke and its not the first indoor grill I've had, others were too small and made a mess with drippings, this has a big drip chamber and makes no mess at all.

good for certain foods
I got this as a Christmas present recently. Made some hamburgers and hot dogs. It took more than twenty minutes to heat up. I had to open windows because of the smoke. The food didn't have much color, except where the grill touched it. It also took longer to cook than the booklet said it would. I was surprised that it didn't splatter and make more of a mess though. It is probably better as a panini press. I would have preferred to stand outside in the cold to grill burgers.
