Classy upgrade knob
I purchased this stainless steel knob for a enameled cast iron dutch oven I bought at my local grocery store. The knob replaced the dutch oven's plastic knob perfectly and looks fantastic! I couldn't be more pleased!

Good product and oven safe. Giving these as gifts to two family members to improve their cast iron Le Creusets.

Replacement for "Molded" Knobs
Le Creuset's own cookware comes with a low-temperature (about 300 degrees F) "molded" knob. So also does almost all competitor's cookware, including, say, Tramontina's.
The only way to obtain full function from this cookware (Le Creuset's and competitor's) is to replace the knob with, for example, this Le Creuset 18/10 stainless steel repair part knob.
The construction of this knob is innovative. It is NOT simply a turned block of stainless steel, rather it is a "spun" knob with a welded, threaded insert for attachment.
This unique construction gives the knob an insulating air space between the attachment point and the functional part of the knob, thereby keeping the knob cooler than it would be if made from solid stainless steel.
At $9.95 (plus shipping), this product is a much-needed enhancement for Le Creuset and competitive cookware, where cooking above 300 degrees F, say, to perhaps 500 degrees F, is expected and required, which is on a lot of recipes these days.
I mounted the knob on my Tramontina 6.5-qt. Dutch oven. It required an M5-0.8 x 25mm stainless steel machine screw which had been shortened by 1/8" (about 6mm), and an M5 stainless steel flat washer, both of which I obtained at my local hardware store.
The enhanced Dutch oven now meets all my requirements.

Le Creuset knob
EVERY new Le Crueset pan should be sold with a stainless steel knob as everyone is going to put it in the oven at some point or other. This is the second one we've bought as we got a 2nd pot and it was a pain to keep switching the knobs.

great for any dutch oven
This knob works great on my Lodge enameled cast iron dutch oven. Easy to "install" (comes with screw) and can withstand the highest oven heat, unlike the original knob. Exactly what I needed to make sure it's ready for anything.

It can take the heat
I use my a Le Creuset dutch oven handed down from my parents to bake artisanal breads. The heavy lids keep the steam inside, which is critical for a crisp crust, but the original lid came with a plastic knob threatened by temperatures above 375 degrees. Removing the knob meant I had nothing to grab onto while checking the bread during baking, and having to try to slide the lid off of the oven while it was scorching hot - a scary task. The Le Creuset Stainless Steel Replacement Knob makes those unpleasant adventures a thing of the past.

The stainless knob is necessary in order to use any of the LeCreuset cookware in an oven hotter than 450 degrees. I use the 3 1/2 quart pan to bake bread...better than the local bakery!

Eliminates standard Knob damage with oven use...
The Stainless Steel Knobs really look good on my LeCreuset dutch ovens & casseroles. Now there is no concern with high oven temperatures damaging the standard knobs which come on the lids.
