A Go-to Pan
I purchased the de Buyer fry pan set and then decided to get this sauté pan. I have not been disappointed. Its materials have the same non-stick & health-conscious qualities as the fry pans - that's important to me; and the versatility of this pan's size and shape makes it a go-to item for lots of cooking chores. They're going to make great Christmas gifts!

Exceeds expectations
Performs beautifully, handles high heat well, durable, quickly builds up a natural nonstick 'coat' like cast iron, but without cast iron's reactivity to acid foods - nothing discolors or tastes funny. Everyone should have cookware this good. Between this saute pan and my DeBuyer 12" fry pan I can cook just about anything.

Kitchen Asset
This saute pan is magnificent. It cooks quickly, searing meats & veggies giving them a carmelized taste that adds great flavor to recipes. I can make a fast, tasty pot of soup in one pan. It's very close to being like a WOK, so great for stir fry too. I like the material this pan is made of as it's very easy care, just rinse. The fact this pan is seasoned makes it a "no-nonsense" pan I can use with no fuss and no food sticking problems.

A real classic
Gave as a gift to my husband- our neighbor & fellow foodie has quite a few of these pans- I asked him which one he would pick if he could only have one de Buyer pan and this is the one he suggested for my husband- he has used it almost everyday since I gave it to him and he is most impressed- very heavy weight and will get better with age as it becomes more seasoned.

better than hoped !
If one can love a pan, I love this one. At 82 years of age, I have found a pan that I would not want to cook without. I was a bit worried that it would be too heavy for me, but I have no problem moving it about. After the recommended seasoning, it is stick-free and cooks beautifully. Because it is deep, family size meals can be cooked in it with no problem tossing and turning ingredients, and a meal started on the cook-top can be moved to the oven to finish. I don't have the storage space for it, so I leave it on the cook top, at hand for something as small as an egg to be fried or as large as turkey legs to be braised. Bravo De Buyer!

Love the high sloping sides
Will prevent too much spatter when frying or sauteeing. I like the heaviness of the pan. Really sturdy! Also , it can go from range to oven very easily. The long handle w slot for hook makes for easy use & storage, too.
