smart purchase
I should have bought this a long time ago. Oh my, is this ever quick and easy. I hated sifting flour before with my lousy squeeze handle one. The last time I used it I was so mad I threw it in the garbage. I ordered this one and now I don't avoid sifting flour and it sifts 3 cups of flour fast. I'm still a messy cook but this keeps a lot less flour off the counter.

A must gadget for all bakers!
I have been looking for this sifter and was glad to find it. It is a nice kitchen gadget for anybody that bakes. I bake chiffon cakes and it is a must to sift flour to make the cake light and airy and to have a fine texture. Simple to use and store after each use.

Well made and very useful
Considering the price I was actually surprised by how well made this sifter is. It works very well and helps me avoid my usual problem of compacting the flour in bread recipes. I'm very satisfied.

Great buy
We bought this unit to replace the hand sifter that you squeeze. We fell in love with the way it sifted the flour. Plus with the built in measurement it works great. You can even choose to make it a finer powder if needed. But overall we are very happy with it.

FLOUR SIFTER
THIS IS SUCH A PRACTICAL DESIGN! AS YOU SIFT THE FLOUR, IT GOES INTO THE MEASURING CUP. HOW INENGENIOUS! IT DOES A GOOD JOB SIFTING AND IT'S SO CONVENIENT.

Ambivalent
I like the idea behind this sifter, but. My first one arrived with a crack and misaligned so the handle wouldn't turn. Chefs promptly sent a replacement. It too is slightly misaligned so turning the crank isn't as easy as it should be.
The design, put flour in top, crank, falls into bottom, is a good idea, but the screw-together top and bottom are awkward for me. The size of the unit is a bit too large for my hands (and I have long fingers) to hold easily, and awkward to unscrew with my arthritis. A handle on the bottom would help, and if the top simply slid into the bottom (the way you join a tool onto the end of the vacuum hose) it would be much easier to use.
As well, the size of the bottom is a bit small if you want to scoop the flour out and measure precisely. Also awkward if you need to sift the flour, then re-sift with additional ingredients. You'll need to pour out the sifted flour into a bowl, reassemble the two piecces, then measure and do the second sifting. Hmmm.
I will keep this and use it sometimes, but I will need to buy a different sifter for many of my sifting needs.

What a Great Idea !!!
Just received this sifter and have used it numerous times already. It works great, is very good quality and very easy to use even with dexterity problems. Keeps your work areas cleaner and is great for flouring your pastry boards. Love this sifter.

I love that it saves my hand from cramping like the squeeze handle did.
