Well-made Fry Basket
We ordered this to fit in my son's turkey frier, for Thanksgiving. I attached (3) 18" lengths of chain to the basket. The 12lb turkey breast fit perfect & cooked up juicy. The quality of construction is commendable. I expect it to last many years.

The Lodge deep fryer basket is a sturdy basket and just the right size for the Lodge cast iron dutch oven. It works great for deep frying. I am quite pleased as I have been with all the products.

Great Frying Basket!
This is a great tool for turning any dutch oven into a deep fryer! However be careful to get the correct size. I read a previous review which said to make sure and measure your dutch oven and get the size smaller to get the right fit. I did and it worked very well for our Christmas Eve doughnuts, which we chow down on after our church's 11pm worship service when we get the midnight munchies! Next we will try to fry up some chicken!

The product is very high quality. I have a problem with the description in the catalogue. By the way I returned the item to exchange for a smaller size. The problem is the dimension in the catalogue cannot be the same as the measurement of the pots to be used in. In this case medium doesn't fit into a medium pot. It will not slip into the bottom of the pan. Standard dimension of the pan is exactly the same as the basket. You will therefore to order a small basket to fit into the medium pot.

Perfect Solution
We do not do much deep frying and I don't have any available counter or cupboard space so I really didn't want to buy an electric fryer. This was the perfect solution for me.
