Fit the Bill
This product is sturdy, the cherries fit well into the wells and with just one swipe of the lid it took the stones out of four cherries without crushing them. Open the lid and put them in a bowl. Easy and efficient. Cleaned up with just soapy waterand fits easily into a drawer or cupboard. Great purchase for me.

Great cherry pitter
Got it as it was recommended by Cooks Illustrated. I just love it. Easy to use, easy to clean, effective, and inexpensive.

Sure beats using a knife
One can use this for cherries or olives with an included tray for large and small sized fruits. Stones are captured below the fruit. A real time-saver.

What a great purchase
I was so impresses with how well the progressive cherry pitter did the job of pitting a lot of cherries. I did a lot of them in no time at all. It is really easy to use and makes no mess. It catches the cherry seeds and it is easy to empty. It all comes apart and washes well in the dishwasher.

No more pits!
My son loves cherries, but he doesn't like to eat around the pit and I don't like the cherry juice stains from traditional pitters. This pitter keeps the mess of pitting cherries contained plus, since it will pit 4 at a time, I can actually keep up with his cherry eating. For the first time ever, I can imagine making a cherry pie from scratch.
We also wanted this to pit olives. I did not give this 5 stars because it will not pit a green olive. The green olives we tried were too firm; I was actually afraid the pitter would break. We did have success in pitting kalamata olives. I do not think it would work with anything more firm than a kalamata olive.
