Excellent, better than an electric opener. Could not work better....

Works great!
This gadget works even better than advertised. Perfect for people with weak grips. I may even get a few more for gifts - can't think of a better gift for Christmas. This could not be easier to use. Worth every penny.

Best jar opener I have used.
The adjustable "jaws" that clamp on different sized jar lids works fabulously. Excellent product.

Best jar opener so far
I ordered three jar openers hoping for one that would be superior to anything I'd previously used. This one --- the Kuhn Rikon Jar Opener --- is the best of the three; it's easy to use, it's fast, and it stays clean. What more could you want? Well, it's not expensive!

a little tricky but opened the jar!
First, twist the opener around the jar. It doesn't lock in place, so you need to hold it with your fingers while turning the handle 'cause the other hand is busy holding the jar. I'm just happy that I can finally open a jar when noone's around.
The handle is a cool stainless steel, but the jar opener is not quite black, it looks kind of bluish gray.

Main thing is, so far it works!!
I have shoulder pain and weak grip and was looking for something that could help with jars. The others either didn't work or had bad reviews, so I tried this one, and so far it works well as long as I can remember to turn it counter-clockwise...and not clockwise. Glad to have this..thanks.

The Only Jar Opener Worth Owning
I've tried multiple jar openers which either didn't work at all or were too cumbersome or limited to bother using. This opener grips very well, easily accomplishes its task, and is a pleasure to use. I can now independently open any jar in the kitchen! Kudos to Kuhn Rikon!
