WONDERFUL Salt!!!
I purchased the course Himalayan Pink Salt for our salt grinder because the Himalayan Salt I purchased from another web site was too larger for ANY grinder. The Himalayan Pink Salt I purchased from the Chefs Catalog is WONDERFUL!!!! The taste is DELICIOUS, the colors are BEAUTIFUL shades of pink, and the course grain size it PERFECT for our "SALT mill" (it's a second Plexiglass Pepper Mill filled with Himalayan Pink Salt to match our first Plexiglass PEPPER Mill --to form a matching pair). The Chef's Catalog Himalayan salt grains are the SAME SIZE as pepper corns and they 'grind' perfectly!!! This is a GREAT buy!

I bought this large bottle of pink salt after first having found pink salt at some of my favorite bistros and cafes, then after having bought a small bottle for myself at a specialty market. I liked it so much, I ordered this. This salt is barely pink, and doesn't seem to have that special, almost msg-like (in bringing flavor) that my other salts have. It is more similar to table salt than I would have liked.

Great product
We haven't eaten salt for years simply because we don't care for the taste. However, it appears we're somewhat salt deficient so I decided to go for the best I could find. This actually doesn't taste bad (and remember - I don't like the taste of salt).

Good Purchase
The only negative thing I have found is the salt is a little too coarse for my use. The Positive things outweigh the negative since I just dumped some in my motar and ground it finer. I love the flavor of the salt. It doesn't seem to be too salty and makes the perfect topping for a salad or baked potato and I love to use it on meat before grilling . So far I haven't found any food it doesn't make better. I have already recommended it to several of my friends who cook. I will definately purchase more when I run out...
