This product works like a dream!
I recently purchased a 2.5 oz MIU portions scoop because I am a culinary arts student and I needed a heavy duty professional portioner, just like the ones we use in class. I've been through dozens of scoops, but I think I can stop right here! This is the second MIU scoop I've purchased (the first being the 1-oz scoop) and I've used it to scoop out everything from mashed potatos to thick cookie dough, and the little sweeper inside the scoop cut right through that heavy dough (which was gloriously loaded with chips and nuts) creating perfect mounds, without getting all gummed up. This scoop also happens to be gorgeous, as it is all stainless steel with a high shine finish. Plus it is easy to clean. And despite how durable it is, it isn't heavy or dificult to squeeze. I'm sold. I want the whole set!

Wonderful product for evenly shaped round cookies.
I have had the smallest scoop for a long time and use it to make uniform sized cookies. I bought 2 of them to give my daughter and sister as they helped with Christmas cookies and and were so impressed with the ease of using the scoop instead ot the teaspoon method, which gave uneven shaped cookies and was also a messy process.

incredible time saver
I don't know why it took me so long to purchase these scoops. They are a great time saver as well as cutting down on waste. Every portion is the same, which is what we aim for.It is truly amazing how fast you can make up a hundred meatballs. I would recommend these to any cook or chef that has a problem with portion control.

Perfect for our needs
I am in a civic organization that makes homemade candy box towers at Christmas-time and we could only find the plastic measuring scoops. I took my (1) ounce CHEF's scoop this year because there weren't enough plastic ones left and it worked perfectly! I have ordered three of these to donate to the club for the Christmas 2011 candy-making days and I think everyone is going to be very happy about it!

Awesome for baking!
I bought this scoop for help when I bake. I love using a scoop for cookies or biscuits and this scoop is awesome! It's very well made and not at all difficult to use. It springs back well and is heavy but not too heavy. I love it!

Very handy
I like to have the various sizes available. Easy to handle. Very good for the sesons watermelon, meat balls, to fill stuffed salads etc. Thanks for a great product.

I had been searching for months in local stores for these scoops. Finally, Chef's catalog arrived and I ordered the whole set plus an extra 1 oz. scoop. They are exactly what I wanted and are of high quality.
