beautiful
I purchased this item in the cherry red color and it is very beautiful. The casserole dish is well made and heavy. I enjoy baking in it and I received a lot of compliments from both family and friends.

Casserole Dish
Used it the other night to make lasaga, food cooked evenly, and did not stick! It was great to have a cover for the lasaga, instead of using aluminum foil.

A Great Addition
I recently bought this covered casserole for my daughter to enjoy as much I do. She immediately made her favorite Tomatillo Tortilla receipe with perfect results. I will continue to add to her collection of Le Creuset, (as well as my own) for years of great cooking, consistant performance and beautiful table presentation!

Excellent casserole dish
My husband is the chef in the family and this was a gift to him. He loves it! It's much bigger than he thought, as it holds a casserole that can feed a large family and still allow for leftovers. The casserole bake evenly and the clean up is a breeze. The only problem? He wants more baking dishes from this line!

Excellent Covered Casserole
This is a stoneware dish so it heats up very evenly and retains heat well. The cover fits well which makes the dish perfect for any application in which retaining heat and steam is desired. It also makes it ideal for going from the oven to the table then to the refrigerator.
Since this is stoneware it cannot be used on the stove top but it does make it suitable for the microwave. It is oven proof to 500 f (260 c) which makes it usable for just about any application. The glossy finish makes cleanup easy.
The colors offered by Le Creuset are beautiful and in my opinion are nicer than it's rivals. The finish is flawless inside and out. No other brand of stoneware that I have seen can rival the fit and finish on the Le Creuset. It may cost a little more than some other brands but is well worth it.

Not big enough
This is a beautiful dish and typical of Le Creuset quality. I was surprised at it not being big enough to perform as a lasagna pan and I returned it. The high lid must act as part of the 4 qt. volume, as the dish would not hold a true lasagna. I am a Le Creuset enthusiast but not this particular casserole dish.,
