It did a great job. The adjustable grip for the actual jar lid has opened a variety of sizes. It did not require any effort of mine to adjust the opening for different jar sizes; which was required for my needs. This was purchased to open jars while arm was in cast .

Works great
Since my illness prevents me from doing anything, my husband is stuck doing everything but arthritis makes some things difficult. This is "just what the doctor ordered". He's very happy with it.

Opens effortlessly
I bought this product for myself. The day it came in though, my mom could not open a bottle of soda. I gave this to her, and now she can open any bottle or jar without any problems. I have already ordered another one for myself as well.

Our wrists are saved!
This jar opener works exactly as it should: easily, safely, and on all types and sizes of twist lids. For added safety, the silicone coutertop grip prevents the jar from shooting out from under one's hands while opening, and it stores inside the device when not in use. Well designed, easy to use and comfortable
Another excellent OXO product. Comfortable, ergonomic, well thought-out, works well. Even includes a small rubberized mat on which you can place a jar to keep it in place, and a place to store that rubber mat right on the opener.

I have very bad arthritis in my fingers, with this tool I can open ANY twist off cap or lid.

helpful for older hands
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT TOOL ESPECIALLY THE OLDER I GET AND HAVING TO ASK FOR HELP ON THE RIDICULOUSLY TIGHT JAR LIDS! I BOUGHT SEVERAL FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS,GREAT STOCKING STUFFERS FOR MY PARENTS.

Can't do without!
I have the old form of this handy tool. The only difference is the way the silicone pad on which one sets the jar, is stored on the tool. With this tool in the kitchen, I rarely need help in opening any sized lidded jar. It is the best! Therefore, I have recently received an order for giving to friends. They, too, have told me they are thankful for the tool's ease of use and no longer having to ask for male assistance in opening their hard-to-open jars. .
