This is a winner! I've owned several pastry mats and each had problems, but this CHEFS' silicone pastry mat has all the right elements to make rolling out pie crust a breeze: clearly marked circles; the mat surface makes it easy for the dough to release; it stays put during the rolling out process and it is easy to clean. My only complaint might be how large it is, but I can see that it fits perfectly onto a baking sheet, so it actually has two purposes. I couldn't be more pleased with this product.

AVID BAKER
As an avid baker, I spend much time making pies and making my own pie crust. I very much needed a mat to roll out my dough. I discovered the CHEF's site on line and found exactly what I was looking for. It arrived in record time and I have already used it. I also had a recent birthday and received a marble rolling pin from my daughter! What a perfect coincidence! I'm a baking, happy grandma, thanks CHEFS, and my daughter!

Perfect mat for the lazy cleaner!
Ok, I may not be as lazy as this suggests, but I do get a bit messy sometimes. This mat, while is pretty good at helping with the pasty (Salmon en Croute on Sunday), it makes an EXCELLENT mat to prepare other food things on. Making a cake and spill some flour? How about those grains of sugar you can feel? Hate finding a place to put the stirring spoon? Lay this mat down and work on top of it. When finished, empty into the garbage and wash down in the sink. IT'S PERFECT! The only drawback - and that's only for me - it's a bit of a pain to clean. If you have a small shallow sink, you have to double it to clean. If you have a big, deep sink - no problems at all.

I love my new pastry mat!
I have a pastry cloth that I have used, shook out, and washed for close to 40 years - it has holes in it and is raveling - I now use it to wrap up my rolling pin and new mat for storage. I love the new mat - it has ample room and the edges do not lift up when you are rolling out the dough. The circular guides are also nice to shape and size your pastry. Cleanup was wonderful - just wash it off in the sink with your dish water and rinse it off.

This is a great pastry mat. My previous mat was made of plastic and rolled up for storage. In less than 2 years, it got hard and cracked and had to be tossed. This silicone mat is heavy but pliable. It folds for storage so it will fit anywhere. And all the regular measurements and guides are printed on the mat. Love it!

Love the Pastry Mat
This is a nice size mat. It sticks really well to my granite counter top and does not roll. I am so glad I purchased this & I highly recommend it.
