Good home grain mill
I have milled popcorn, red wheat berries, whole oats, whole millet, brown rice, and brown rice mixed with flax seed. all ground well once I figured out the settings. The unit is loud but not excessively. keep an eye on the large screws on the front of the unit, they can loosen up from vibration. This is a good sturdy unit that will last quite a long time.

Well-made and durable.
This attachment allows me to make my own whole wheat flour from the wheat we grow on our farm. How cool is that? Very well made. This was a good purchase!

Quality issue
There is not much to this grinder, so you would expect it to work right out of the box. Unfortunately, it seized up twice. I am an engineer and after disassembling the product discovered a pin on one side of the grinding plate was loose and when turning the pin would slide out of it's position and catch, thus seizing up the unit. I was able to use a metal punch to secure the pin in place and unit has been working well since. Unfortunately this seizing situation has possibility of damaging your mixer.
Product works fine, other than this significant problem.

Slow to grind
Bought this product replace a Vita-Mix grain grinder because the blade grinder is very loud. We were disappointed in how slowly this attachment worked. Took fifteen minutes to grind a hopper-full of wheat while the Vita-Mix takes two minutes to grind three times as much wheat. Also the grind was not a fine as that of the Vita-Mix machine. Very disappointing. Also, this attachment is very hard to wash.
