I recently purchased a glass top range. I also do a lot of canning jams, fruit , etc., which cannot be done on a glass top. The BroilKing Single Burner Hot Plate is an excellant choice for canning! It is Made in America, too!!

Great Unit!
I purchased this unit based on reviews by other customers. I basically wanted to use it to do some canning; and as I have a glass top stove, canning on it is a no-no. I canned four consecutive batches of sauerkraut, and the BroilKing performed perfectly. I'm very satisfied with this burner and would definitely recommend it as a worthwhile investment.

fast heating
I bought this based on other strong reviews. I did not bother to buy cheaper, similar items out there. I wanted a mobile cooking top that heats up just as fast and powerful as my full-size electrical range. This allow me to cook at the same time as my husband.... it's great to take it to the patio as well.

Works even better than expected.
I purchased this product to pop popcorn. After purchasing a new range with a glass top surface, I discovered that you should not slide a pot across the glasstop - it will be scratched. So I ordered the hot plate and it does a perfect job. It looks good, it heats up quickly, very hot and does a great job. I could not be any happier with it.

Heats quickly and works like a dream
High quality construction and well worth the additional money. Made in USA quality and it shows. We tried several of the cheaper type of hot plates and they broke quickly plus had smaller cheaper burners. This one in a 9 inch burner that pans sit on very nicely and do not wiggle around. i would highly recommend this one.

Best Purchase
It is really amazing. Construction of the body is good and the heat is really amazed. I bought several stoves with low dollars but this is amazed.
