TABLE PAD
I purchased a new dining room table and needed protection for it. I bought your table pad which I cut to fit my table and we had dinner on it a couple of night ago. My cloth laid pretty on the table and I did not have to use hot pads for my casserole. My table was protected. I think this is an excellent product.

This is the heaviest table pad I have ever used
and worthy of ANYONE dropping, or spilling
anything on it's fantastic surface!!! My l5
pound cat jumped on it immediately and slide
right to the end....Ended that caper......

VERY Poor Quality
Even after reading a rather negative review, I still took a chance and ordered this pad because I had a party coming up that weekend, and needed SOMETHING to protect my 108-inch dining room table. The pad arrived, and when unfolded, there were definitely creases where the pad had been folded in the package - really, I expected that. I turned the pad over so that the vinyl side faced downward, and ironed the pad on a medium setting. I had no issues with the vinyl melting, and most of the wrinkles came out fairly well - not great; you could still see faint lines running in a perpendicular pattern across the table after the pad was covered wtih a tablecloth. But for the cheap price, it was acceptable.
However, here is what was NOT acceptable: During storage or shipment of this pad - while still folded in the package - it appears that the vinyl on the very outside layer of the folded product WARPED, either through physical streching or perhaps by excessive heat. Regardless of the cause, it meant that that particular set of folds - the ones that had been on the very outside of the package - COULD NOT be ironed out. If left as they were, they would have created 1.5-inch high mountain ranges across that particular area of the table top. Unacceptable. Instead, I had to take an X-acto knife and CUT the peaks out of these folds. I literally had to cut slits out of these stretched areas, and then tape over them with packing tape. Again - unaccpetable. Only someone as desperate as I was - with my dinner party occurring the very next night - would have been willing to go through such trouble. If I'd had more time, I would have returned the item. My guess is that perhaps this warping does not happen on smaller-sized table pads... but if you're going with the 108-inch pad, beware.

table protector
The fabric is excellent but the wrinkles in the plastic from being folded area a nightmare. I had to iron the pad, flannel side up, very carefully to try to remove the worst of the wrinkles. There is a trick to getting the iron hot enough to help without melting the plastic. Then the pad was laid out flat on the table to allow more wrinkle relaxing. Without this tedious work, the ridges left in the pad from being folded created creased bumps large enough to topple an empty wine glass or a lightweight glass. The bumps and ridges under the tablecloth looked tacky. The table did not have a nice smooth and flat surface. Even after ironing, the wrinkles remain but are less noticeable and are not large enough to prevent a glass from sitting securely.
