Did the trick! Great to see temp. through door.
We were doing a large rib roast and were going to try a method used in good restaurants that holds the meat for long periods. When you do not know when the dinner will be served this is a great method.
The key was to lower the oven temp. when the roast came to 132 and this great large dial was visable all the time. No kitchen should be without one.

Good food thermometer
This is the food thermometer if you are looking for a basic one to insert in the food and watch it during cooking. It is perfect for the money.

Better than other meat thermometers
I bought this as a gift for my husband and we used it for the Christmas roast. It worked perfectly. We've had fancier, more complicated units that failed or were too hard to use. This couldn't be easier to use and it gave accurate readings.

Don't buy
The black metal clip to mark target temp on the rim of the thermometer sprung off when I put it into the roast and haven't found it yet. Also, the probe easily bends the thin backing of the thermometer when inserting it. Not a quality product.

Easy to read
I finally decided to replace my old Taylor thermometer because it was getting difficult to read. I love the large print and used it on Christmas day for my prime roast beef. It turned out perfect!

Oversized Numbers - I Love You!
Oversized number on most things are pretty awesome, but on a meat thermometer - Wow! The quality of my life just got better.
Oh, and it's of good quality and accurate too.
I won't be without this precious device.

Great tool if your oven thermometer is inaccurate
A great tool to use for Thanksgiving turkeys, especially if your oven temperature isn't always correct, And when grilling, you really want to make sure the turkey is done. Only reason not to use it is if your turkey comes with a pop-up anyway.
