Excellent Product -- Great Customer Service
I've owned this product for several months now, and I feel compelled to write a review for several reasons. First, it's not often you find a product of this build quality these days with a design that is as well thought-out as this one is. I discovered this product through Consumer Reports when my old coffee maker started to fail. I admit, I was drawn in by the aesthetics and I like the idea of the tap--That has proven to be one of my favorite things about this unit. I really appreciate the ease of use--the machine is easy to fill; easy to clean; and easy to program. More importantly, the coffee is great. I too read the other reviews and was concerned about temperature prior to purchasing. In fact, it wasn't clear to me from reading the available material whether or not the unit would continue to keep the coffee hot after brewing, and for that reason I also purchased the carafe. There was really no need--the brew temperature is perfect and the heating element keeps the coffee at the right temperature for a couple of hours before auto-shutoff. (Incidentally the carafe is another design triumph in my opinion--this is the first one I can manage to get my hand inside to clean!).
I also had a need recently for a part. There is a plunger assembly in the bottom of the removable reservoir that has a small rubber plug to keep the coffee from running out when you remove the reservoir. I inadvertently washed this down the sink one day while hastily scrubbing the reservoir...and, sadly, it didn't survive the garbage disposal :) I contacted Viante via the information email address on their website and almost immediately received a response from Jim McCusker himself! (he's the founder of Viante). Long story short, Jim exchanged several emails with me and ended up sending me a new unit. Needless to say, in a world filled with call centers, indifferent customer service reps, and an overall lack of appreciation for customer loyalty--this old fashioned commitment to the customer is remarkable, to say the least. What a breath of fresh air!! That alone will make me a Viante customer for life.
You will not be disappointed if you choose this coffee maker. More importantly, you will not be disappointed if you choose to spend your hard earned money with this company!

Lovely machine great coffee
Delivery was super fast, loved that. The coffee maker is lovely, pleasant blue light, quiet when brewing, easy to clean and fit's nicely under the cabinet without emitting the steam that damaged my cabinet doors before. Brewing a full 10 cups takes about 20 minutes regular strength I guess.
You can't overfill the water reservoir and that's a plus over my prior drip maker. Coffee dispenses slower than I am used to but i think that was done on purpose to prevent splatters and drips that come with rapid flow openings. We both love the way it looks and works. No filter required even with the finest grind coffee we use so less mess. Easy to clean, pleasant to look at and easy to use. It's sturdy so should last a long long time.

Not Happy
The coffee maker we received looks great but the automatic delay worked the first time but not after that. I've read the instructions several times to reset the delay brew but yet the next morning I have to press the on switch for it to start brewing. I'm in the process of contact the manufacture. I have to say this is the first item that I received from your company that I was not extremely pleased with.

Very happy with purchase so far
Had this product for about two weeks, so far very happy with it, easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee.

Great Coffee Maker!
My wife and I really like this new coffee maker and
I have to say it's not only great looking but as a
guy I love pulling coffee from a tap each morning,
that makes my day! We grind our coffee fresh,
mostly dark roasts or sometimes a lighter decaf
in the evening, either one brews perfectly even
without using the stronger brew option.
My wife said I did well buying this brewer,
nice blue lights, stainless and chrome parts,
it was a bit more than we have spent in the past
but since it includes all bells and whistles and
we both agree our coffee is rich, hot and flavorful,
it was well worth it. Unfamiliar brand but well built,
can't argue with the delicious coffee it brews up.

Good Coffee Maker
I just got my Viante View and Brew Coffee Maker today. It is very easy to use and makes great coffee that's hot and full of flavor.
You need the thermal carafe if you want to keep your coffee hot for a period of time.
Well worth the money!

Not a good buy.
I do not recommend this coffee maker to anyone. It brews well,but the coffee is not hot. Not Hot. Who needs that. It's as if you brew a pot of ice coffee.
