"A Clean Cut!"
Finally! An egg topper that removes the top portion of the shell cleanly, without leaving bits of egg shell in your breakfast. It's appearance might be deceiving but the result is pure satisfaction.

Clean cut and easy removal
Easy to use but need to hold the egg in hand or on a cushioned surface or you will crack the whole egg.
The topper cleanly cuts the top The inside edge is beveled in so it grabs the top and removes the cut portion of the egg and leaves no shell pieces.
It's a little pricey but does what is stated.

Interesting gadget but not very useful.
Of course I expected the product to work as described. It is not quite so, though. You place the tool over the egg, release the spring mechanism but it generally gets stuck. It does cut the shell evenly around, but it is quite hard to pull it off. You can carefully remove the topper from the egg and then you still have to peel above the cut line. I did not return the product, but it fails to do its job.

Product Needs Written Directions for US Market
The egg topper did it's job after I had a hit or miss first time experience. It needs directions to make it satisfactory for the US market. I presume the population of its country of origin must know just how these gadgets work. I did not.

It really works!
This tool really works as described. the top comes off fairly well, with no bits of shell. At first I had to use it twice to make the top come off, but with very little practice the tops of the shells are coming off completely and cleanly.

What a neat little gadget to own. I works just like it is shown in the catalog. I plan to use it lots. Some shells will be saved (after the egg is enjoyed) for use in starting flower and veggie seeds.
