Use and Care
• Before first use, wash the new skillet in warm water with mild dish soap. Rinse the cookware thoroughly in warm water and wipe dry with a soft dish towel.
• After each use, let your Cuisinart GreenGourmet skillet cool before cleaning. Cookware should be washed by hand with hot sudsy water and a sponge, non-scratch cleaning pad or soft dish cloth. Do not use steel wool or other metal or abrasive pads that can scratch your skillet. After washing, rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a soft dish towel. Do not put GreenGourmet cookware in the dishwasher, since harsh detergents will harm it.
• When cooking with your Cuisinart eco-friendly skillet, you do not need to add oil or butter to prevent foods from sticking. If you wish to enhance the flavor or appearance of foods, you need add only a minimum amount of oil or butter to the cookware's nonstick surface.
• Never use your GreenGourmet skillet on high heat or food will burn. Use a low to medium setting for most cooking. To boil water, medium-high is sufficient. Never leave Cuisinart cookware or any pan empty over a hot burner. Doing so can ruin the pan and void the warranty, and cause damage to the stove top.
• GreenGourmet cookware is oven-safe up to 500 F. Always use oven mitts to remove the hot skillet from the oven.
• To maintain the appearance and performance of your GreenGourmet nonstick skillet, use only plastic and wooden utensils. Refrain from cutting foods or using sharp utensils such as forks, knives, mashers or whisks that can scratch the cooking surface. Slight surface marks and abrasions are normal and will not affect the performance of the Cuisinart Ceramica coating.
• The GreenGourmet nonstick skillet has a smooth stainless-steel exterior finish, making it easier to clean and maintain. Food residue and buildup on the cookware's exterior can easily be removed with hot soapy water and a scrub pad.
• Hanging your Cuisinart skillet by its handle on a cookware rack provides convenient, safe storage. Use care if you store skillet in a cabinet or drawer. Careless stacking and crowding may cause scratches or chipping in the ceramic interior surface.

Great Skillet I wanted a ceramic/non-Teflon non-stick skillet, and this fit the bill. The stainless steel exterior looks great, and the non-stick cooking surface is greased lightning (sans the grease). I use it everyday and love it. I would highly recommend this skillet. March 15, 2012

So far a good replacement for Calphalon Non-stick This product although only in use for a few weeks has so far performed as touted in the catalog. It cleans up as easy as advertised and cooks food about 30-35% faster than our Calphalon non-stick. You do have to be mindful NOT to cook your food on high and turn your back on what you are cooking or you'll be starting over again. The tag warns you about this but you have to be sure to READ everything!!!( small print)..... April 27, 2012

You'll wish you had this years ago.... While I LOVE my induction cooktop, finding larger, nonstick surface frypans for it has been challenging. Now I have not only a great size pan for cooking larger dishes, but it has a a lid! Am in love with the newer (non-Teflon!) ceramic lined frypans... April 26, 2012
