a bag of sugar fits fine
These are very pretty, durable, professional looking
canisters. I bought them for flour/sugar storage. A 5# bag of flour or sugar will fit just fine in these. They look really nice on my rack, too. The S/S looks very nice and is very easy to keep clean.

Big enough to scoop from, attached lid helpful
I love that these canisters fit a full 5# bag of flour and can simply flip up the attached lid to scoop from. I also love that they're stainless steel instead of plastic. However, the locking clamp/band feels flimsy and the lid has a little play and wiggles when flipped down, which makes the clamped-down lid not feel totally stable and correctly seated. One one of the two canisters I got, the metal clamp bent the first time I closed the lid, but I simply bent it back. Not good that the metal is thin enough to bend, but good in this case that I could get it back to where it should have been.

The worst!
I received these two canisters and both of them were bad. One had a bad seal, the other had a twisted latch. This was not damage incurred in transit folks, they were sent out this way and I sent them back. In addition, the metal rings around them had dark spots on both of them. I was very disappointed and sent them back. I have never had to send anything back before and I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. If it wasn't for those defects, they would have been gorgeous with great size to them. Too bad.

No Bang For The Bucks
Stainless steel canister is well made, but the seal is loosely fitted to the lid and does not seat properly near the hinge when closing. Canister would have been better made if hinge was eliminated and two clips had been used. Hinge is somewhat flimsy.

Great Item
What a great item. The air tight seal is the best. If they came is a smaller size I would buy them too.
