Very nice butter dish!
This butter dish is attractive and durable. It easily holds a stick of butter. It is dishwasher safe, a requirement for any butter dish. Requires minimal refrigerator space.

I love my little cow butter dish. I buy uncut organic butter and this is just perfect for keeping it fresh instead of keeping it wrapped up. Besides, I love cows!

Too small!!!
This dish is very cute, however, the pound brick of butter does not fit! The cover will not close all the way. Now a pound of butter is a pound of butter! Why does it NOT fit in the dish? Will keep the dish and use it for something else but don't purchase it if you plan on using it for it's intended use!

1 lb butter dish
I was wanting a butter dish that would hold a pound butter block. This one will hold the butter, but the lid rests on the butter with a gap between the lid and the dish. Not quite what I was looking for.

Excellant deep butter dish
This is a perfect butter dish lots of room, holds four sticks, without no mess ups Over the edge.

Traditional functionality
Works well for large bricks of butter but also makes a great glass storage container if you prefer to save leftovers in glass rather than plastic.

Does not meet description
Contrary to the production description, the butter dish does not hold a pound of butter. The dish is not deep enough and lid sits on top of butter without closing. This product is made in France and maybe butter weight and sizes and shapes are different there.

This product would be great except that it isn't tall enough for 1 pound of butter. You have to slice 1/4 inch off the top of the butter to get the lid on the dish.
