Great for serving, salads, soups, and pastas
These bowls are both useful and elegant. I bought them to use as salad bowls for the huge Cobb salad that I make. This is a great size bowl for eating a big serving of soup or a big salad. They will also be very nice serving bowls for when I have guests over!

Perfect shape and size
Large enough for salad for four or starch and vegetables for eight. Very strong porcelain.

Very nice bowls - large size for buffet
I ordered these large white bowls to use for a party that will have a buffet meal. They are perfect and could be used in a formal or casual setting. I love the shape of the bowl. So pretty!

Good for salad bowls
Actually these bowls are very nice but for what I wanted they appear to be too large. They would be great for salad or serving items.

A fine choice for family-sized servicing bowls
As I have gone for years without a decent set of serving bowls, these are a welcome improvement. I hosted a family dinner this past weekend with 12 people in attendance. These bowls (the 10-inch ones) were the perfect size for the mashed potatoes and steamed green beans--sufficient in size to serve everyone at once.
At the same time I had ordered the 12.25-inch bowls but returned them due to their size. When placed on my dinning room table (40" x 62") they seemed enormous. 10-inch bowls are just right (like Goldilocks said).
