Bought 2 - 1 worked & 1 didn't
I bought both salt & pepper mills. The pepper mill works very well. It grinds the pepper very fine, just like we prefer. The salt mill wouldn't run. The light came on, but the grinder wouldn't run. I had to send it back. For a $40 dollar salt mill, you'd think there would be some final inspection before shipping. They look nice, but the section that holds the product is very small, so it doesn't hold much. It will have to be refilled pretty often. Overall, if I get my replacement in a timely manner, I'll like them. I like that you can adjust the size of the flake. Each mill uses 6 AAA batteries.

Had similar pepper shaker that needed to be replaced. Thought this was a the same product. It is a much inferior product. Cannot change the grit of the pepper and the light level is almost non existant. Company has taken a great step backwards.

Not worth the money spent.
Opened them up, loaded new batteries and salt/pepper in units and they barely worked. Emtied halk the pepper and salt out and they barely worked.
Threw them away.

hard to reassemble after filling; small resevoir
I'm not at all satisfied with the electric salt and pepper mill set. They do not hold much and are very difficult to realign and reassemble once they are filled. I will not recommend this product. On the pro side, they have an attractive hourglass shape.

DONT BUY THESE
Received as a gift from my Father....and despite the 6 batteries required for EACH Mill....the engine was not even strong enough to grind the pepper corns ! Chefs catalog was very nice and returned them......BUT DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THESE!!!

Disappointed
I was disappointed because these require six batteries first of all and the salt mill must have a slight defect since it is very hard to open or close. For the price, I would have expected better.
