Use and Care Before first use and after use, carefully hand wash your
Mauviel Dutch oven with hot soapy water, then rinse and dry.
Cooking:
All M'heritage products are designed for use in the oven to 500 F and are broiler-safe.
Never overheat an empty pan, this may lead to irreparable damage. Always cook over low to medium heat. Only add salt to your pan once the water has boiled.
When cooking on gas, the flame should never go beyond the base of the pan.
Always use protective pot holders or oven mitts when handling hot cookware.
Cleaning:
Never clean your Mauviel Dutch oven with bleach. This may lead to irreparable damage.
Hand wash your Mauviel copper cookware. Harsh chemicals used in some dishwasher detergents may affect the cookware's performance.
If food sticks to the inside of your stew pot, soak the cookware with hot soapy water.
Over time, copper can change color through use, however, this will not change the conductivity of the copper material.
To create a nice patina of copper, well-appreciated by professionals, clean the Mauviel Dutch oven occasionally with a high-quality copper cleaner. To maintain a shiny copper surface on your Mauviel pan, we suggest using the Mauviel Copperbrill cleaner
