This toaster is truly cuisine/art
I haven't tried toasting bagels yet but this toaster toasts beautiful bread. Very modern with a timer that lets you know when your toast is ready. I love the way it counts down as the toast is browning. Be sure to measure the space where the toaster is going to be stored as it is really long.

Great toaster
I had a Cuisinart toaster similar to this one for at least 30 years. I'm every bit as happy with this new one as the one I had. One of the nicest features is the fact it is narrow and doesn't take up as much room as most toasters. The finish is great and very easy to keep clean. One improvement is the crumb drawer. That was my only complaint with the old one.
I highly reccoment the Cuisinart 3 bowl food processor. It's very functional and easy to clean.

The Cuisinart Long Slot Motorized Toaster
We have had a toaster for a very long time (25 years?) which was beginning to fail at toast, so we were looking for a narrow toaster to fill its shoes. It had to be thin to fit where the old one did in our kitchen, and a small raised ledge above the butcher block counter. Lo and behold, there it was in the Chef's Catalogue!! - Eureka! It could have been a terrible machine, and we would have been happy - but it's great! Fully sensitive adjustments easily make perfect toast, and just enough for my husband and I, who tend NOT to eat bread - we are more of the leafy-greens-for breakfast sort, maintaining svelt figures so we can fully enjoy nutritionally dense/calorie poor foods together. This slim toaster is everything we hoped for, without committing to a huge object in the kitchen taking up room from other cool gear for Slow Cooking and lots of great vegetables!

The toaster is very attractive and the shape has actually opened up more space on my counter.
It toasts evenly and it's great for thick slices. I like its "electronic" quiet operation and especially the fact that you don't have to slide down a lever to start it.
I would highly recommend it.

We bought it again
This is our second slim-line toaster. We like the fact that it takes not much room and lets us toast two pieces of toast, sliced bagels or similar items at the same time. It toasts evenly and if this second toaster is as reliable as our first one, we will not need to buy a new toaster for a long time.

Impressive good looks
This was a replacement for a similar model that was at least fifteen years old. I really like having a long slot toaster for artisan shaped breads. The first thing that I noticed was how gorgeous this toaster is. The metal finish is beautiful and looks very high end. The toasting is very uniform and it produces a nice crisp piece of toast, just how I like it. However, the slot is about an inch shorter than my old model. As some have noted, this does make it a challenge to toast loaf bread that is oversized. To toast two pieces at the same time, you need to use traditional sized loaf bread. Think Wonderbread. Anything wider will not fit two at a time. I do like the ease of the button settings. I do have to remember that every time I toast a bagel using the special setting, I have to press it again to toast a second bagel. The toaster automatically reverts to the two sided toast setting. The motor is silent, unlike the old model which made noise. The beep takes some getting used to, but is a nice reminder if you are getting several things ready and want to grab your toast hot out of the machine.

Disappointed
I'd purchased this long slot toaster to replace another long slot one. I had read the reviews of previous buyers, and noted the short cord mentioned a few times. Well, it is definitely too short! AND, it is in the front of the machine where the dials are. Only way to use it is flat against the wall so the cord will reach. It did not fit where I wanted to place it, so I had to return it. The cord definitely needs to be in the back to reach most plugs and so that the dials and such are in the front. They need to correct that flaw. Long slot toasters are hard to find and I hated to return it, but just couldn't use it.
