Designed with exclusive Kyocera Advanced Ceramics that is second only to diamonds in hardness, the Kyocera Revolution Santoku Knife and Adjustable Mandoline Slicer Gift Set is the perfect combo for your kitchen. The ceramic mandoline and 5 1/2" santoku hold their edge 10 times longer than even high-carbon steel blades. Part of the popular Kyocera Revolution series, the kitchen set is precision ground for a microscopically exact, rock-hard edge. Incredibly lightweight and perfectly balanced for precision control, the ultra-sharp 5 1/2" Kyocera santoku is an Asian-style multipurpose knife ideal for cubing, slicing and dicing vegetables, meats and fish. The santoku knife's thinner blade edge delivers minimal resistance and requires less pressure when cutting. The ceramic knife efficiently cuts boneless meats, fruits and vegetables so thin you can see through the slices. Typically half the weight of steel knives, the Kyocera santoku with ergonomic handle is easy to maneuver and reduces fatigue during long, repetitive cutting tasks.
With no blades to change out, the ceramic mandoline with handguard is incredibly easy to use for creating paper thin, medium, thick and very thick slices in no time. A simple turn of the dial and the ceramic slicer quickly and uniformly slices cabbage, peppers, potatoes, oranges and more in 4 different widths: 0.5 mm, 1.3 mm, 2.0 mm and 3.0 mm. The included handguard holds foods secure and protects your fingers. Corner notches secure the Kyocera mandoline on top of bowls. Ultra-sharp ceramic slicer is ideal for smoothly slicing carrots, onions, cucumbers, apples and other favorite fruits and vegetables for salads, stir-fries and garnishes. The stain- and rust-proof knife and slicer blades do not absorb acids, oils, salts or food flavors. Kyocera innovative ceramic will not brown foods or transfer a metallic taste. The ceramic mandoline is dishwasher-safe and the santoku simply rinses clean and wipes dry.
Chef Ming Tsai introduced the Kyocera santoku knife and mandoline to Oprah Winfrey's kitchen and Oprah named the ceramic Asian set as one of her "Favorite Things." Oprah now relies on the Kyocera santoku as the one all-round knife she prefers in her own kitchen. Founded in 1959 in Kyoto, Japan, Kyocera is today's largest manufacturer of premium quality advanced ceramic knives and kitchen products in the world. Both professional chefs and home cooks prefer the Kyocera santoku and ceramic mandoline for their remarkable ease of handling and superior edge retention.
