Use and Care
• Before first use: wash the Swiss Diamond HD Pro in hot, soapy water with a sponge or dishcloth. Rinse and towel dry. Season the nonstick surface with a light application of cooking oil.
• High heat is never recommended because of the high thermal conductivity. Start with medium heat and reduce to low heat if required.
• The Swiss Diamond fry pan is oven-safe up to 500 F. The handle will get hot in the oven, so always use pot holders when removing a heated pan.
• The nonstick skillet is safe for metal utensils, but non-metal utensils are recommended to better protect the nonstick surface. Do avoid chopping or cutting food in the pan. Never use an electric beater in the pan.
• Although the Swiss Diamond nonstick frying pan may be cleaned in the dishwasher, washing the cookware by hand is recommended to prevent the dishwasher's harsh, caustic cleaners from reducing the nonstick performance over time. Simply wash cookware in hot, sudsy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, oven cleaners or scouring pads.
• To maintain the attractive appearance and cooking efficiency of the Swiss Diamond skillet, it is important to clean the pan thoroughly after each use. If not properly cleaned, a thin layer of food particles or grease may become carbonized when reheated and cause food to stick.
• When storing the Swiss Diamond fry pan and nesting cookware, place a paper towel between each pan.
