My new toy in the kitchen!
I am raving about my new Cuisinart Commercial Quality Ice Cream & Gelato Maker, ICE-100. I am using my new toy almost every other day. Within two weeks I have made Butter Pecan, Pistachio, Vanilla, Strawberry and a Reese's pieces ice creams. Plus, a limoncello gelato. Next is a mixed fruit sorbet! I am thrilled that I made this investment. You should too.

My go to desert maker
I just purchased this ice cream maker and used it for the 2nd time this weekend. I made the basic vanilla ice cream. it was a little soft so I put it in the freezer and it set up a bit better. Overnight in the freezer - it was the best the next day. Its was easy to use. My only comment is that Its a hefty machine so bear that in mind when it comes to lifting it and storage.

Homemade icecream/gelato still the best!
Great ice cream / Gelato machine to have when you have family, friends, or a party. Can make different flavors or choice of Gelato or ice cream in short time to fit everyone"s likes and taste.

Love this machine
We are so happy with this machine - it sits on our kitchen counter and will be used often. I like that it comes with 2 paddles and will make both gelato and ice cream. The results were perfect and the noise level was lower than I anticipated. So much nicer than dealing ice and salt as with our old ice cream maker.

Great Value
We just purchased the machine. My wife likes Baskin and Robbins, but the cost of the producdt was bothering her. So we bought the ice cream machine. We have made vanillia, blacvk walnut, rocky road, chocolate and all have been great. Out of the machine and into the freezaer for a couple of hours and you are set to enjoy some great ice cream!
Great purchase!!

I was disappointed
I own the small Cuisinart ice cream maker, the one with the bowl you have to freeze to make ice cream. When I read the description of the Cuisinart Commercial Quality Ice Cream & Gelato Maker ICE-100, I had high hopes. Especially since it said that several batches might be made per day. I ordered and tried it. Made peanut butter ice cream but a smaller amount than the recipe called for, so it should have frozen in less time. I have to say that nothing was really wrong, except that after 40 minutes it was still soupy. After 50 minutes it was still soupy. Not soft serve - soupy, drippy, runny. I took it out and poured it into a container to freeze in the freezer.
This ice cream maker may be more convenient than having to freeze the bowl for a couple of days before being able to make ice cream, but overall, my little one freezes ice cream better than the fancy one does! I paid around $50 for my original one several years ago - this fancy machine really only saves me the freezing of the bowl and that single small inconvenience is NOT worth paying $300 for!!! Especially not if you have a freezer large enough to accommodate more than one bowl to freeze and spare bowls are available for purchase.
This item is already on its way back to Chefs.

Pleasantly Surprised
We have been looking to buy an ice-cream maker with a built in compressor for years. I have always read that they are loud or donât make the ice-cream firm enough. When I saw that this machine was an upgrade form the previous model, I decided to pull the trigger. The first time I used it I was pleasantly surprised! It was not noisy and could be in the kitchen as we watched TV in the other room without being bothered. It also makes the perfect consistency of ice-cream in the time allotted â not too hard, not too soft. Itâs just what we have always wanted! As long as we have the ingredients, we can have fresh homemade ice-cream in just under an hour!

Quieter than I expected
I have used my ice cream maker once but based on the reviews I read, this machine is much lighter and quieter than I expected. I should qualify this by saying that I had a Gaggia ice cream maker in a former life. It weighed a lot more and was equally noisy and much more difficult to clean.
Is this truly a commercial machine? No. Is it more than adequate for home use? Yes. Did it make a good quality ice cream? Yes. Will my cholesterol level suffer from my having this in my kitchen? Definitely.
