Use and Care
• Before using your Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick multi-pot, pasta insert and steamer insert for the first time, hand wash in warm, sudsy water and dry thoroughly.
• The 8-qt. stockpot is oven-safe to 450 F but not safe for broiler use. The pasta insert and steamer insert are safe for both oven and broiler to 450 F. Set is safe for gas, ceramic, glass, electric and halogen stove tops.
• Use with nylon, coated or wooden utensils to better protect the cookware surface.
• Allow the Calphalon multi-pot and inserts to cool completely before washing. Never immerse a hot pan or cookware accessories in cold water, as this may cause irreparable warping.
• The stock pot should be washed only by hand, it is not dishwasher-safe. Never place the multi-pot in an automatic dishwasher or use abrasive cleaning pads or cleansers that can damage the pan and void the warranty. The pasta insert and steamer insert are dishwasher-safe, but hand washing is recommended to help protect the finish. To hand wash any of the pieces, clean with a liquid dishwashing detergent and a nonabrasive sponge or soft bristle brush. For stubborn spots on the multi-pot exterior only or the finish on the stainless-steel inserts, use Bar Keeper's Friend cleanser and a nonabrasive sponge.
