Use and Care
Before using your Calphalon chef's pan for the first time, wash in warm, sudsy water and dry thoroughly.
Use a lower heat setting than you normally would, as the Calphalon stainless-steel chef's pan heats and cools more quickly than other cookware due to the heavy gauge construction.
Use the Calphalon cookware with all types of utensils, nonmetal utensils are recommended to better protect the cookware surface.
Calphalon chef's pan is oven-safe to 500 F and glass cover is oven-safe to 450 F. Pan is safe for broiler use.
Do not use aerosol cooking sprays on the stainless-steel chef's pan. A small amount of oil, butter or margarine is all you need for easy food release.
Allow Calphalon chef's pan to cool completely before washing. Never immerse a hot pan in cold water, as this may cause irreparable warping.
Calphalon Tri-ply Stainless-Steel cookware is dishwasher-safe, but hand washing helps protect the cookware's finish. To wash by hand, simply clean with a liquid dishwashing detergent and a nonabrasive sponge or soft bristle brush. Maintain the finish with Bar Keeper's Friend cleanser and a nonabrasive sponge.
