Use and Care
The Emile Henry Ceradon oval au gratin dish is designed for oven and microwave to 500 F. For broiler use, make sure baking dish is 3/4 full and expose the dish to the broiler element for only short periods of time and not too close.
Do not heat an empty Emile Henry au gratin dish. The 16-oz. ceramic ovenware is not intended for use over direct flame or hot plates. Do not place your hot dish on a cold or wet surface.
Use the Ceradon au gratin dish with all types of utensils, but nonmetal utensils are recommended to better protect the cookware surface.
Always use protective pot holders or oven mitts when handling hot bakeware.
Emile Henry products are easy to clean by hand or dishwasher, but hand washing helps protect the cookware's finish. Burnt-on residue may be removed by pre-soaking the ceramic ovenware for about 15 minutes.
The Ceradon au gratin dish should be carefully dried and stored.
