Use and Care
The Emile Henry serving bowl is designed for freezer to -4 F and oven and microwave to 500 F. For broiler use, make sure salad serving bowl is 3/4 full and expose the dish to the broiler element for only short periods of time and not too close.
Do not heat an empty Emile Henry salad bowl. The Emile Henry serving bowl is not intended for use over direct flame or hot plates. Do not place your hot dish on a cold or wet surface.
Use the Ceradon Emile Henry serving bowl with all types of utensils, but nonmetal utensils are recommended to better protect the bowl's surface.
Always use protective pot holders or oven mitts when handling a hot ceramic bowl.
Emile Henry products are easy to clean by hand or dishwasher, but hand washing helps protect the bowl's finish. Burnt-on residue may be removed by pre-soaking the salad serving bowl for about 15 minutes.
The Emile Henry salad bowl should be carefully dried and stored.
