With the Emile Henry Flame Top 3.7-Qt. Tagine, your family and friends will applaud your North African-style lamb or chicken roasted with a medley of spices, pears, apricots and dates. Adding healthy Moroccan stew pot cooking to your weekly menus is so easy with the first ceramic tagine safe for oven, cooktop, microwave, grill and open flame to 750 F. The Emile Henry tagine slow-simmers to create poultry and fruit, couscous, rice and stews deliciously moist and infused with spices. Crafted in France from high-fired natural Burgundy clay, the covered Flame Top cookware features a natural nonstick cooking surface that needs little or no added fats. The cone-shaped lid creates a seal to condense and circulate moisture throughout the foods that are gradually braised to full-flavored tenderness.
Exclusive Flame technology allows the heat-resistant ceramic Moroccan stew pot to cook on even barbeque grills and open flame. Five years of research and development created the PFOA- and PTFE-free Flame Top cookware line that excels in uniform, natural cooking and keeps meats, vegetables and sauces aromatic and juicy. Smoothly glazed ceramic dish will not chip, scratch or discolor and does not absorb stains, odors or flavors. The easy-to-handle Emile Henry tagine is 30% lighter than similar cast-iron or enamel cookware and can go directly from freezer to a hot oven without countertop warm up. Each rich color makes the Flame Top cookware a stylish serving dish for any occasion. The Moroccan stew pot cleans up quickly by hand and is dishwasher-safe.

Use and Care
To season your new Emile Henry tagine, add about 1 inch of milk to cover the bottom of the dish. Let the milk simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the dish from heat and allow it to cool before cleaning. You can also simmer a quart of water with 1/2 cup of rice for 5 minutes instead of the milk.
The Flame Top cookware is suited for gas, electric, ceramic, glass and halogen stove tops and induction heat with an induction disc. The ceramic Moroccan stew pot is designed for oven, microwave, broiler, grill and open flame to 750 F. Do not heat an empty Emile Henry tagine.
You can use the Flame Top cookware with all types of utensils, but nonmetal utensils are recommended to better protect the cookware surface.
Always use protective pot holders or oven mitts when handling hot cookware.
When heated, the Moroccan stew pot expands slightly. This phenomenon creates small, thin cracks in the glaze, which are more visible on light-colored cookware. These small cracks are not a flaw, but are part of the Flame cookware resisting temperature change and a sign of the cookware's longevity.
The Emile Henry tagine is easy to clean by hand or dishwasher, but hand washing helps protect the cookware's finish. Burnt-on residue may be removed by pre-soaking the Flame Top cookware for about 15 minutes.
The Moroccan stew pot should be carefully dried and stored with the lid slightly off-center, allowing for air circulation inside the cookware.
